Stakeholder Input Meetings

Thank you all for attending the three Stakeholder meetings and submitting written comments. Although the Trust welcomes comments at any point in the process, the specific period for commenting on the Strawman Stakeholder Input Facilitation Tool has closed. The Trust must now develop the Triennial Plan in accordance with the schedule outlined in the governing legislation. Please refer back to this page for updates on the process.

Triennial Plan Development

The legislation establishing the Trust also directs development of a 3-year, or “triennial” plan.  The plan must provide integrated planning, program design, and implementation strategies for all energy efficiency and alternative energy resources programs in the state, for all customer classes, for all fuels.  The only such plans exempt from coverage by the plan are those administered by the Maine State Housing Authority.  The Trust retained the services of Optimal Energy and Perkins Point Energy Consulting/Stephen Ward to assist with plan development and facilitating public comment. 

The Strawman Input Facilitation Tool (see link above) is the first step toward a Triennial Plan. The Strawman provides an overview of the legislative targets and the potential programs and budgets which may be required to achieve them. This document is intended to stimulate input from interested parties on the details that will be included in the Triennial Plan.
